Theo & co. has two locations - East Vic Park and Leederville. They are always buzzing with liveliness, most of the time filled with people despite so many other food options available on Albany Hwy eatery strip. Their pizza dough is the key here, and if you are in at the right time, you can see the pizzaiolo working the doughies -made fresh everyday. The dough really brings together the flavours with the toppings. And much to a pizza-lover's delight, they offer wide varieties of pizzas from G-ma style, stonebaked pizzas to skillet pizzas and dessert pizzas with inventive toppings.

FYI : Skillet pizzas are cooked and served in a heavy cast iron skillet, with a soft buttery base (think slightly burnt bases mmmm!)
Stonebaked pizzas are baked on a stone with a sprinkle of semolina for softer and lighter crusts.
Grandma style pizzas are light, fluffy focaccia-style dough cooked in a baking tray.
Classic Meat pizza - "The Max" and Stonebaked pizza - "Punkarella"

They offer BYO (Hooray!) for $4 per person at the Vic Park location.
And it is a walk-in restaurant.

I am loving these local, handmade gelato places popping up around Perth in the recent year. I remember the days when getting icecream went only as far as the Baskin Robbins, icecream truck or supermarkets (not that I have anything against that)! Perth people can now get picky with choosing what sort of icecream or gelato and flavours. Pietro Gelateria is fairly new to the icecream-scene in Perth, and follows suit from Whisk Creamery in Northbridge and Subiaco, Chicho Gelato in Northbridge, Kuld Creamery in Highgate and Roho Bure icecream in South Fremantle. Getting lost in Mandurah

Train ride to Mandurah, appreciating the peace and quiet in our Peel Region. Coffee and sunshine 😎 We recently took a train ride to Mandurah for a spontaneous day trip. We departed from the Stirling Station and parked our car at the station for free (free parking on the weekend). We bought a family day ride ticket for $12.80 which we figured was cheaper than tagging on with our Adult SmartRiders. A tip for you, a family day ride entitles you to inclusive Transperth rides for the whole day (bus, train, ferries) for 2 adults and 2 children. However, it is still cheaper to purchase a family day ride even if there is only two of you (Adults) because on the weekend, the ride is more expensive and if you are traveling far say 3 zones or more. It took approximately an hour to get to Mandurah. From the Mandurah Station, we took the Mandurah Shuttle Bus (588 or 589) which goes around the major sites in the city and returns to the station.
