Getting lost in Mandurah

Image
Train ride to Mandurah, appreciating the peace and quiet in our Peel Region. Coffee and sunshine 😎 We recently took a train ride to Mandurah for a spontaneous day trip. We departed from the Stirling Station and parked our car at the station for free (free parking on the weekend). We bought a family day ride ticket for $12.80 which we figured was cheaper than tagging on with our Adult SmartRiders. A tip for you, a family day ride entitles you to inclusive Transperth rides for the whole day (bus, train, ferries) for 2 adults and 2 children. However, it is still cheaper to purchase a family day ride even if there is only two of you (Adults) because on the weekend, the ride is more expensive and if you are traveling far say 3 zones or more. It took approximately an hour to get to Mandurah. From the Mandurah Station, we took the Mandurah Shuttle Bus (588 or 589) which goes around the major sites in the city and returns to the station. We didn't have any trouble...

Juicy bao

Image
If you see a long line of hungry diners waiting for a bite of their juicy buns.   Menu When we go to restaurants to dine out, there definitely is a sense of trust if it has an open kitchen. It's very inclusive and inviting. They have a dumpling section right by the front window of the restaurant where passers-by can get a clear view of Dumpling Masters filling in dumplings. Everything on the menu here at Juicy Bao Bao is very affordable and you don't have to wait long for your order to arrive even during peak hours. So despite having to wait in the line to get inside, the turn over here is very quick. Shang-hai stir fried noodles This was your average Shanghai stir-fried noodles with shredded meat and vegetables for $12.8. The noodles were a tad overcooked for my personal preference (I like a little texture in noddles). So I would most likely order something else next time I visit the restaurant. Juicy soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) It just ...

Nestled in pristine sand dunes of Leighton Beach Panoramic ocean view Open kitchen view Eamon Sullivan and Scott Bridger Eamon Sullivan, one of the owners of Bib and Tucker was the host of the event. The dinner was led by the Executive Chef Scott Bridger who has a known passion for WA local and fresh produce. This is shown throughout the Bib's menu with over 80% of ingredients being from WA, most of which are from our South West region. Moreover, Scott grows his own vegetables and herbs/plants to use in his dishes. Given this reputation, the dining experience was sensational and unlike any other vegan foods available in the market today. We were generally very impressed with the high level of hospitality provided on the night and professional and friendly...
