I am loving these local, handmade gelato places popping up around Perth in the recent year. I remember the days when getting icecream went only as far as the Baskin Robbins, icecream truck or supermarkets (not that I have anything against that)! Perth people can now get picky with choosing what sort of icecream or gelato and flavours. Pietro Gelateria is fairly new to the icecream-scene in Perth, and follows suit from Whisk Creamery in Northbridge and Subiaco, Chicho Gelato in Northbridge, Kuld Creamery in Highgate and Roho Bure icecream in South Fremantle. In contrast, they offer different alternative gelato- Modern Sicilian. These guys are located in Vic Park with alfresco sitting area perching out from the Park Centre on Albany Hwy. The gelateria offers fresh, delicious flavours and keeps flavours trendy and exciting.
