Creativity
my inspirations are Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Edgar Allan Poe, Philip Larkin.
poems are so personal and dear to the one writing the piece, and so empowering for those who read it.
story is at the heart of what connects us and that is a wonderful gift that writers can share.
even though what I write isn't a poem, I think what I try to express through my writings is more like a story, feelings I experience, or a happening I'm inspired to write about.
sometimes it doesn't make any sense but it's my way of expressing feelings and exerting stress.
words and phrases can be anything, and things can be described in ways that you see it happening.
I just think that's wonderful.
Perhaps\
" Green tinge touches leaves softly
breeze sways hanging branches
softly but surely
it touches the soul of a living tree.
sun bleaches the calm sky
shining light paints streaks in the heart of the sky
wind chimes and carries fun stories
in a wonderfully specific way
it's a calm, quiet kind of a day.
under the same sky, but one with different visions
elsewhere, one does not notice the little things
there is only loudness,
chaos afar,
bold smokes in the sky,
cry in the air,
noise in the background.
do we take this peace for granted? "
Embedded into soul\
" Words are like knives
slashing through your barriers
no matter how strong you may be
so choose your words wisely
otherwise you may be a menace unintentionally.
those words enter hearts
like a pinch of salt on an open wound,
a thin paper-cut between the fingers
there are so many words I wish to express
speak out to the people,
but the words are stuck
like a jammed cupboard,
a tablet stuck in my throat
I swallow the words down again,
I swallow my pain and sorrow
down it goes to the deepest part of my body
where it patiently awaits until it is discovered
words come to my mind,
words jumble up in my head,
I juggle the words
like a tumble dryer,
a merry go-round
freedom! it shouts
words I have so deeply pressed down stumbles to find its way out
I warn, for the sake of me
but also you. "
perspective\
" I'm frustrated
I'm happy
life is difficult
life is happiness
phases of moods interchange
chaotic moments of feelings gush through my soul
life is a moment
life is a perspective
what angle am I viewing life from?
I see beautiful blue sky
I see an endless galaxy
through distorted lens I see
lonely clouds,
saddened winds
through my imagination and daze,
everything is in slow motion,
life in pictures,
am I living in a moment?
life before me is harsh
all I need to do is switch my perspective
change the angle
stop and really see the light
notice the clouds,
the breeze,
the sunlight reflecting off the waters
all I need to do is take a moment
to breathe in the moment
take a deep breath to see
I'm not the only one,
that I'm not alone in this moment. "
spiral of thoughts
" endless,
relentless crashing waves
tirelessly
what is the driving force?
gravity?
people?
purpose in life?
a drive in a life,
a push as simple as
bacon and egg
a pat on the shoulder
acknowledgement
cool dip in the beach
coffee in chill early morning
mum
sound of music. "
Life and me\
" With all that's gone
for all its worth
my blooming memories will entail
the struggles, hardships
but life that I have lived,
life of my own
life that I'm proud of.
for my parents who have raised me
I am to live life to its fullest
do what I want to do
and let myself bloom
only myself can steer my destiny
the way I want it to go
but also let it take me to unexpected places
and journeys unknown.
fate can be harsh and
life can be even more challenging
but one day at a time
I'll learn about myself,
learn to love myself,
and faith in myself. "
Soak in it\
" shame
bath
melancholy
grease
oils
the kindness of others
friendship
congratulatory pastry baskets
the blood of your enemies
success, as long as you can because the next moment that glow will be gone
sun beams UwU
nationalism
gun crime
knife crime
your daughter's laughter as a grown woman
the last handshake your uncle will ever give you
knowing your father finally accepts you
beijing pollution
slamming down an ice cold microbrew
pean soupers
the night sky
greenhouse gases
oxygen
gas
sylvia plath
bottles of coke
caesar salad dressing
cobbers
warmth of true friendship
second hand smoke
distant approval
accidentally down-voting
being jealous of your friends
taxes
never earning enough money to be taxed
a pat on the shoulder, rather than on the head. that's a pat a peer gives you.
wrestling your friends in icy wet grass, and breathing in their body moisture
watching a duck kill another duck
overly friendly classmates
the sun
wrath of the gods
double posts
civil disobedience
a hot bath after a day at the office
the future is going to be so great that everything we ever thought was cool, will make us feel deeply
ashamed. "

" They tell me you're a depressive,
spend most mornings in tears,
sending visitors away
I sit in a darkened room and succumb
to your trilogy of torment.
you're all about flaccid flesh,
warped thoughts, a veritable cradle
of despair.
a child falls from an open window,
smacks on the ground.
to follow you is to empty my mind
on the bloody floor, and cry for a woman
to take me away. "
Bryce Newton\
" There's a dip in the fridge where you'll find valleys I've hand dug
with a crinkle cracker and
you won't find me
but you'll find spaces
my life has an emptiness to it
I feel like bottled milk off before its due date
poured into pancake mix
thrown in a bin or washed down a sink
I'm trying to wash myself away
if I urinate on the drain I can check if I'm dehydrated
I'm sultana waiting to be put into a pudding all dry and nothing"
" My dearest Mister Curly
Today I woke up early
And made a little wish;
That we were flying fish,
Sparkling and free.
We jumped out of the sea
And flew up to the sun.
Then after that was done,
We went down to explore
The deepest ocean floor.
And so we did discover
The most amazing lover.
For what it may be worth.
It really is the earth. "
