Soul food

Foodies will probably agree- the most frequently asked question we get is:

"Can you recommend me a good food place/restaurant?"

It's definitely a part of the job (or a serious hobby in my case) requirement to answer this question.

Most of the time I'm reluctant to tell people anywhere in particular because:
1) everyone's taste buds are different,
2) there are so many restaurants, it is hard to pick just one or two!
3) I don't want to tell anyone about my secret place sometimes hahah.

But today, I wanted to share some of my favourite places to eat out in Perth.
Again, I want to emphasise that I wasn't sponsored in any way to eat at these places and that it is my personal taste. I recommend everyone to try food for themselves and make judgements for themselves.

My soul food is pizza as all of my close friends and family are very much aware of this.
Some of the best pizzas I have tried in Perth are Canteen Pizza in Cottesloe, L'antica in Fremantle, Pappagallo in Leederville, Monsterella in Wembley (in no particular order). I have tried so many pizza places, but there are yet so many places left to try. And I will happily take recommendations if anyone cares to share their fav places!

I usually don't go back to the same place twice 😬 personally I find there are so many new places to try and there just aren't enough days in a month to try all of the places! So if I intend to go back or have been back to a same place twice or multiple times, it means I really, really like the place 😋

I have categorised some of my favourite places to eat out at 👇
- Japanese ramen - Ramen Keisuke in the Melbourne Hotel
- Tiramisu - Ciao italia in South Perth or Nedlands
- Italian pasta - Lulu la delizia in Subiaco, Solo Pasta in Mt Lawley, Monsterella Pizza in Wembley (the best truffle pappardelle carbonara ever)
- Thai cuisine - Long Chim in CBD, I would go back to Galangal in Mt Hawthorn just for their Red duck curry in tomato sauce (to die for!)
- Brunch - Hampton & Maley in Vic Park, Pinchos in Leederville, Flora & Fauna (when vegan food can taste this good), Laika in Lathlain
- Coffee - Kafka on Fitzgerald St, La Veen on King St, Telegram Coffee inside the State Building
- Burger - RoyAl's CnB in Vic Park or Wembley
- Malaysian cuisine - Sedap Place in Vic Park
- Dessert- Kuld Creamery in Highgate or Freo, Chicho Gelato in Northbridge, Honeycake
- Korean Fried Chicken - 7 grams
- Tapas - The Hummus Club in Northbridge (Must try their Batatas!)
- Sandwich - Karalee on Preston in Como, Meat Candy in Northbridge
- Pub - The Guildford Hotel in Guildford
- (Affordable) Fine dining - Samson's Paddock in Mosman Park, Tiisch Bistro in CBD
- Bar - The Standard in Northbridge, Choo Choo's
- Vietnamese - Trangs in Girrawheen
