Each month for IKEA family members only, you can enjoy a tasting opportunity at their Coffee Shop adjacent to the food court upstairs.





They showcase any of their new food products and share recipes you can recreate using ingredients available for purchase from the food shop downstairs (after the checkout).

All of the tables were already set up with a platter of 2 different olive oils, cheddar cheese and fried tortilla chips/biscuits.



 

This was vegetable sausage roll made from their Vegetable balls and thin breads. Easy and delicious!

This was a mini burger made using the meatballs, and by cutting the hotdog breads from Tip Top into mini round shapes.

This event is purely for IKEA family members to enjoy, explore the products and as a plus, you have a chance to win a gift at the end of the session.

Thailand cuisine is a favourite cuisine for many including myself. Thaitation hasn’t been around for long but it has certainly made itself known in the Floreat Forum block. It’s a small restaurant with an inviting alfresco dining area. And you can expect full bookings on busy Friday and weekend nights. Upon entering, you instantly hear the chefs in the kitchen speaking in Thai, knockings of woks in the background and you are hit with smell of fish sauce and coconut milk. You see tanks of fish oil and coconut milk stacked up on the kitchen bench. They offer authentic yet modern flavours. Foodies will probably agree- the most frequently asked question we get is: " Can you recommend me a good food place/restaurant? " It's definitely a part of the job (or a serious hobby in my case) requirement to answer this question. Most of the time I'm reluctant to tell people anywhere in particular because: 1) everyone's taste buds are different, 2) there are so many restaurants, it is hard to pick just one or two! 3) I don't want to tell anyone about my secret place sometimes hahah.
