Pan Pacific Staycay

Perthyums &. spends the weekend at Pan Pacific Perth - Perth's ultimate Staycation destination.

We checked in to the Club Suite room which costs a little more but gives exclusive privileges that elevates a vacation to something a little more luxurious- we think the space and the view might just be enough to convince you otherwise!

We were mesmerised by the riverside view and the spaciousness of the room. It had a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed, a small living area and also a fold-out bed in our case to accommodate for three people in a one-bedded room. Nevertheless, there was an ample space to fit all three of us. The room also featured a separate work/lounging space and free high speed wi-fi which is always a bonus when staying at a hotel.

For luxurious escape, we would recommend upgrading to a Club room as this allows you complimentary buffet breakfast either at the Club Lounge or the Montereys Restaurant on the Lobby Level and all day refreshments as well as access to complimentary evening beverages and canapés. Although evening cocktails run from 5.30PM to 7.30PM, it is a good idea to head up slightly earlier (say 5.25PM) in order to get the better seats.

We made our way to the Montereys Restaurant on the Lobby Level after some canapés in the Club Lounge where we chose to have the seasonal seafood dinner buffet over à la carte menu. We just couldn't look past the fresh oysters, crabs and prawns!

We loved the fact that the hotel was so close to the riverside and the city. So we went for a stroll by the river to see the night city skyline and ended up walking all the way to the Elizabeth Quay- which surprisingly didn't take that long! And we are so glad we did! The whole walking pathway on the Riverside Drive was lit up and it was serene and the moon was hanging low just next to the city buildings from our view.

We returned to our room to a pleasant surprise!

A bubble bath with some bubbles and decadence

Seriously if you are thinking about staying in, opt for a room or suite with club access since the quality of (local) drinks and food you get here is pretty great. Some of the premiums we loved during our stay:
- A choice of pillow from pillow menu
- Daily newspaper on request
- In-room movies to laze your afternoons away
- Executive Lifts exclusive to Club Room/Suite users
- Buffet breakfast in the Pacific Club Lounge or buffet breakfast at Montereys from 6AM to 10AM
- Evening drinks and canapés from 5.30PM to 7.30PM
- 24hour club service
- Business facilities

For the price, a great service and the prime location Pan Pacific is in, we think it is a perfect staycation hotel!

We parked our own car at the car park for $25/24hrs, you can however do valet parking for $35. If you are staying over the weekend, you can even park for free on some nearby streets.
